Hi Viv,
Nice seeing you again.
You have changed you theme too.

I used Photoshop to create the header and named the file "500x65banner.gif" and ftp the file to Images folder.

The exact measurement of the banner logo size is 500 x 65 pixels.

Also enabled banner in file "variables.php" in theme.
Open file and change default "no" to "yes".

$bannerlogo = "yes";

Save and ftp file to update.

Jadeite is considered real jade. It is rare and very expensive and usually sold individually in smooth dome shaped cabochons set in gold and platinium.

I choose jade that is green and translucent. The price goes up with the intensity of the color. But since the investment is so great, I would go to a respected local goldsmith & jeweller to buy a piece of quality jade that is graded and certified.

It is difficult to appraise from an untrained eye, and definitely jade sold in bead stores for craft purpose are not real jade. For my jewelry making, I go by instinct and affordability.

Evelyn, how you know if it’s real jade? I don’t understand more sincerely, when the stone is natural or when it is what I want. In this case I wanted a real “precious” jade for me. Think it has to be jadeite, but I don’t understand what is really good.

Yeah, I love stones too. Made a number during the Christmas.
But the pieces were picked up before I could take some good shots of them.

This jewelry blog was much a surprise setup. So I didn't get enough photos to show. It's more of an experiment in Traffic Mastery and learning how to write.

I hope to develop this blog and added more pictures in future.

Those are good shots. I have never been a photography buff and am always too lazy to use the camera. Macro function? I will check if my camera has got it. By the way I bought quite a lot of beads over the internet but got no time to do anything about them.

Winzip is yesterdays news….
IZARC is a good application… no doubt about it.
But their latest version is having some bugs which I’m unable to troubleshoot with Windows Vista.
Anyway other than IZARC, there’s always ZIP Genius and 7-ZIP.

Yeah, caught the flu bug, but much better now.
The gardening at our condo is outsourced to a landscape contractor who is doing a fantastic job here. These flowers bloom all year round, and very often I’ve taken them for granted. There are names tagged to each species. I should note their names next time.

Actually, ‘Bead It Forward’ brings to mind a similar effort in “Fabric of a Nation” project to celebrate Singapore’s Nation Building. The making of 60 panels quilts from 15,000 patchwork pieces in the year 2006. Those involved know it was a hugemongous effort.
